Axel Technology
Based out of Bologna, Italy, Axel Technology provides radio and TV automation solutions to a variety of customers including RAI, TDF, ARD, RTS, RTVE, CNN and NBC. The company has been successful in using a Medialooks SDK to create a range of software solutions for television and visual radio.
At some point, Axel was looking for a technology to replace DirectShow, which didn't provide the features the company needed to improve its product portfolio. Moving to a Medialooks video SDK allowed the company to save time on the core technology and focus on the needs of its clients, on customer acquisition and support.
"It's like a team participating in Grand Prix Formula One, but it's buying its engines from Ferrari: just buy the best engine you can have and do your thing," said Marco Branzanti, CTO.
